Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate & Other College Credit

Confirmed freshman applicants are eligible to receive several types of college credit for work completed during high school. Credits will be evaluated about a month prior to the start of the freshman fall semester for students who have confirmed their enrollment and have submitted official documentation.

Advanced Placement Credit

For evaluation of transfer credit, students who have taken Advanced Placement (AP) testing must forward a College Board Report listing the specific test(s) taken and grade(s) achieved. This report may be requested by clicking here.

International Baccalaureate Credit

Students who have completed courses in the Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) must forward an official IB transcript. This transcript may be requested by clicking here.

College Course Credit

Students who have completed courses at the college level while in high school must submit an official transcript from each institution attended. To be evaluated for transfer credit, a grade of C or better is required. Courses with grades C- or below are not transferable and will not be reviewed. Official transcripts may be requested by contacting the institution's Registrar's Office and should be forwarded to The University of Scranton's Office of Admissions.
